All students from Kinder to Grade 6 will have an opportunity to develop their swimming and water safety skills in Week 4 and 5 (Monday the 26th of February to Thursday the 7th of March). Each class will participate in a 45-minute lesson every day for a two-week period. These lessons will be facilitated by Dylis File (Monday – Friday) and Sophie Walch (Wednesday and Friday) at the Grove’s Swimming pool during school hours. Students will travel by bus to and from this location.  Kinder’s will participate Wednesday – Friday each week.

On Friday the 8th of March all students will be traveling to Oatlands Aquatic Centre for Kinder-Grade 2 Splash and Play Day and Grade 3-6 Deep Water Testing. The bus will depart school at 9:00am and arrive back at 2.45pm.

Splash and Play Day is for students in Kinder to Grade 2 to practice the skills they have been learning over the two weeks and have fun in the aquatic environment.

Students in Grade 3-6 will participate in Deep Water Testing during the morning session which is a component of the Swimming and Water Safety Program. During our Swimming and Water Safety program, students practice improving their swimming and water safety skills. The Swan/Oyster Athletics Carnival will occur later in the year.
