Oh, for the love of learning! Grade 3/4
Welcome to Term 2! We've had a great start this term and can't wait to share with you!
We have farewelled Brax and Jaxon this term, (as well as Elliot at the end of Term 1), with a wonderful SPS send off. We wish them all the best in their new schools.
Our Grade 4 woodwork team have finished the computer shelf, and what a delight it is to have it standing proudly in our classroom! We can now work hard on staying organised with replacing our devices into the correct slots and making sure we're all charged up for the next lesson.
Is it a solid, a liquid or a gas, and how do we change state among the three? Our Science lessons have started with some hands on fun with melting and boiling water to change the state between solids, liquids and gases.. We are also working hard on writing informative procedural texts to explain these changes.
Mrs Gadd and Mrs Sparshott took us on an adventure to the front beach to capture some beautiful images of the Hazards for some artistic creations, inspired by collage artist Laurie McCall. We'll share our progress on these pieces in the coming weeks.
Oh, and there's something scientifically special that we've been working on for our Mums... but we can't tell you that yet!
Until next fortnight... :-)
