As we are acutely aware, the economic and social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are immense. Thousands of Tasmanians have lost their jobs and many businesses and industries are facing significant challenges as they navigate out of ‘hibernation’ to a new way of operating.

In response, Brand Tasmania, the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Tasmanian Government teamed up to build the Buy Something Tasmanian website. It’s a simple directory of businesses that are open during the evolving COVID-19 economy making it easy to support Tasmanian businesses, searchable by region, by service, by product, by experience. It’s also a way for all businesses to work on their brand stories, to move into e-commerce, and to create strong relationships with Tasmanian customers.

There are over 1,000 businesses on the site, owned and operated by Tasmanians, with everything from designer products to delicious food and beverages.

With restrictions lifting we are free to explore Tasmania again and tourism operators are adding their listings to the Buy Something Tasmanian campaign Make Yourself at Home.
