Grade 3/4/5 Class
Monday the 1st of June was the day of the Great Muffin-Off!
Grade 3/4/5 donned the hairnets, gloves and aprons and participated in a delightful muffin baking activity. We used our mathematical measurement skills and teamwork skills to follow a recipe, adding additional ingredients to create beautiful, soft, fluffy muffins! We used this activity as a basis to discuss states of matter and how these change with the introduction of heat (Science focus). We even made use of parsley and silverbeet from our garden - our first harvest of the season! It was wonderful to be able to share our muffins with the rest of the school, enjoying these as a whole-school group. We do love our cooking and baking in grade 3/4/5!
I would like to wish everyone a safe and restful holiday and look forward to an exciting and enjoyable Term 3!
