Using nets of cylinders, we have been constructing the concrete silos that we are excited to see on Maria Island next week.  We are working on calculating the surface area of these, using a variety of formulae.

We've also been using a maths tool that's new to us - a compass.  It's a bit tricky to draw a circle with this, but with persistence and concentration, we're getting there and having fun while doing so.

We can't wait for our Maria Island camp next week!
