4/5/6
With only three sleeps to go now till our Canberra trip, it’s been really hard for the 456 students to focus on anything other than our upcoming adventure! 456 have however managed to still work on other exciting projects that have occurred around the school. We worked together to help make some great posters for our Trivia night, which raised more necessary funds for 456 to head to Canberra.
In Art this fortnight, we’ve been creating some original wool creations. We planned these in the Art room and then headed to Jubilee Beach to finish them. Quite a bit of sand managed to work its way into our creations, but it was such a beautiful way to finish the week that no one seemed to mind a few extra grains of sand in their artwork.
456 have also been spending more time outside of the classroom preparing for our oral presentations. The students have been very appreciative of the opportunities to work in our amazing school gardens and down at the beach as we practised ways to use gestures and project our voices. In Health we’ve been looking at our daily physical activities and how these can assist with our overall wellbeing.
One of the highlights this past fortnight has been our trip to Triabunna for the Honour Tour for Young Tasmanian Australian Recipients. It was great to meet the three talented and gifted individuals who inspired many of the students. Opportunities like this are a great way to see how local Tasmanians can make a difference in our local community and to the broader world.
