Montrose Bay High School Band
On Monday the 19th of October, the staff and students of Swansea Primary School were treated to the big booming sounds of the Montrose Bay High School Concert Band.
Before the musicians arrived, the 3/4/5/6 class had the very important job of investigating the following questions:
a) What is a concert band?
b) What types of instruments belong in a Concert Band?
c) What are the seating arrangements for a Concert Band consisting of 50 performers?
The band were thrilled to find their seating had been carefully arranged for them and were very thankful to the 3/4/5/6 students for their team effort!
The band performed a range of songs and styles of music, old and new, including rock, jazz, pop and music from film and well-known video games. Our SPS students enjoyed clapping and dancing along to the incredibly powerful sounds and inspiring musicianship of the Montrose Bay Concert Bay!
