Grade 2/3
The Grade 2/3 class have settled into the school year well and have been very busy.
Our Computers
We have been learning more about the new technology available in our class and have been practising logging on independently and using computer shortcuts to be more efficient with out time (e.g. ctrl+p to print or ctrl+z to undo our last action).
Library
We have been visiting the Library every Thursday to read together and check new books out.
Maths
Recently in maths we have been focusing on place value and learning that the value of a digit is determined by its place in a number. We have been experimenting with making the biggest and smallest numbers possible with given digits as well as making the biggest difference possible with given digits.
English
We have made a great start on our Initia-Lit program (which follows on from the program we used last year). This years program focuses on reading comprehension, fluency, spelling and grammar.
We would love for you to come into the classroom and see what we have been up to.
We are also looking forward to out Swan vs Oyster Athletics Carnival on Tuesday. We hope to see you there.
