SPSSA Report

On the 10th of March the 3/4/5/6 students had the annual SPSSA sports carnival. We left at 8:00am and made our way to Hobart. Everybody met up and settled down into our seats, applied sunscreen and put on our hats. The first race was 1500m which nobody from Swansea Primary ran in. The second race was 100m, most of Swansea ran in those races, which one of the students did an incredible job in winning in division 1! Ivy Hay will now go to Champions representing SPS! After 100m was 400m. In 400m, Millie was so close to getting first and only missed it by a whisker! After 400m, 200m, Shuttle Relays and 800m, the last race was Circular Relay. During those races there were also vortex, shot put and long jump which a few people did. Another student did an amazing job at long jump which he had never done before! He gave it his best shot so great job Xavier!

Overall Swansea came 6th out of 8 schools, Risdon Vale, Glenora, New Norfolk, Bagdad, South Arm, Rokeby, Herdsmans Cove and of course Swansea!  I think it was a great day, that everybody enjoyed!
