Prep/One Term 2

P/1 have had a fantastic start to term 2. Children have been sharing all the learning  they have done over the holidays with their family and friends. We have already had two maths lessons and have been learning more about numbers. In English we will be beginning a new program called Smart Spelling.  In Smart Spelling we will be having fun while we learn how to spell common words.  We have been exploring some new child lead learning environments in out Inquiry Room including a jungle, doctor and vet clinic.

 A highlight of our first week back was a visit from the Tasmanian Fire Service. Alison taught us that we don’t have to be scared of fire fighters in their masks and that if there is a fire we need to “Get down LOW and GO GO GO!”.
