Hi and welcome to STEAM for 2022. My name is Mrs Wells, and I am really excited to be teaching STEAM as a specialist subject this year. I am passionate about the benefits of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. I spent part Masters Degree exploring the ways that STEAM as a subject helps prepare students for future careers and to live in our increasingly technological world. Throughout the year I look forward to spending time with students exploring each of these areas and their independence.

This week we began exploring Art. We look forward to displaying this around the school for you to enjoy. Not only will this look fantastic, but it will also promote ownership and a sense of belonging for students within the school learning space.

At Swansea Primary School we have many talented staff members who are willing to go above and beyond to optimise student learning. I would like to say a huge thanks to Mrs Gadd who inspired students to create some stunning artwork this week. Mrs Gadd will be sharing her artistic talent with the class for the first three lessons and I’m sure the students and I will learn a lot.
