Principal's Report

A huge part of our profession is learning and continually growing and as previously mentioned I have been lucky to participate in the TPA Conference, Principal's Briefing and Principal Forum recently.  This fortnight, Professional Learning has been a key priority for our teachers and their personal professional growth. They have participated in several aspirational opportunities:

- Mrs Wood and Miss Pearce visited Riverside Primary School to see an inquiry based approach where the learning assets of students as thinkers, collaborators, communicators, self managers and researchers are a vital part of the school ethos and pedagogy.

- Mrs Sparshott, Miss Pearce & Mrs Wells attended two PL's on: Using quality literature to improve writing outcomes – an Inquiry Learning Partnership with guru Misty Adoniou.

- Mrs Sparshott, Miss Pearce, Mrs Wells and Miss Van Galen attended Designing Powerful Journeys of Inquiry with and for Learners at C3 Church in South Hobart with the wise and wonderful Kath Murdoch herself.

- Melissa attended the Tasmanian School Administrators' Association Conference in Launceston.

All staff will be sharing back their new knowledge and understandings and we look forward to circling back as a team to reflect on our practice and learn together.

I've been devasted by the news of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II's passing and look forward to celebrating her life in our Royal Tea Party Event on Monday.  Morning
Tea will be provided for all students.  Be on the look out for Her Majesty at drop off on Monday! Due to our busy end of Term with our Moana Jr. musical, we have decided to postpone our Term 3 Assembly to early in Term 4 - more details to come.
