Dear Families,
What a crazy time for us all, but gee we are glad to be returning to some level of normality here at school from Monday 25th May. We are genuinely looking forward to welcoming back all of our families and students. We can understand that returning to school after some time can evoke anxiety in young people, particularly if they have enjoyed being at home and feel like their friends may have been at school having fun without them. Rest assured, we know this and will take every step we can to minimalise any anxieties they may present here at school. We hope that if you are concerned about your child, that you will email us or call to touch base before Monday 25th to make us aware of their worries, so we can be prepared and aware of our developing needs in this space.
The Public Health advice is clear – it is safe for schools to be open. This is because we have a low rate of Coronavirus (COVID-19) community spread in Tasmania and there has been increased and expanded testing. To reduce the risk even further, schools across the state have hygiene and physical distancing measures in place.
While it is safe to send your child/ren to school, we still need adults to maintain a distance from other adults, whilst on site.
To help us with adult physical distancing, we are asking all parents/carers to:
- Use our ‘Stop, Drop and Go’ location which is the red fire hydrant, for all drop offs and pickups. This means you don’t get out of your car.
- If you need to contact the school i.e. if you need to talk to your child’s teacher, please call the school office on (03) 62 578 126 or email your child's teacher.
We want to make school as safe as possible for everyone. Feel free to ask questions if you require any further information. These things won’t be forever, but we all have a shared responsibility to act in a way that supports everyone being safe.

Have a lovely weekend.
