Dear parents, families, students and community members,
From all the staff at Swansea Primary School, I would like to thank you for your support this year. Thank you to everyone who attended our end of year Celebration Assembly, it was a big success. It was great to watch all of our performances and celebrate those students who received awards.
We had a wonderful morning today at the beach in front of the school. Students had a lovely time playing in the sand and the water and student behaviour was excellent. We are so lucky to be able to use the resources that we have available in our community.
We have one final piece of staffing to announce moving into 2025. Along with taking the 2/3 class, Mrs Saskia Sparshott will be taking PE for the 2025 school year. I would like to welcome Ms Andrea Smith to our staff, who will be working with us one day a week, to help cover Mrs Sparshott's 2/3 class when she will come off to take K/P/1 and 4/5/6 PE.
I hope that everyone has a happy and safe holiday break and we will see you in the new year. Our first day for students in 2025 is Thursday 6th February and school photos will be on day one.
Kind Regards,
Anna Knowles
Principal

We had a visit from the Grinch from May Shaw this week! He got up to lots of mischief, sitting in the Principal's chair, trying to steal Mrs Wilson from us, and causing a general nuisance. We even had a game of tennis. Lucky we had lots of students who were ready to send the Grinch back to May Shaw!
Thank you to everyone for coming to our Celebration Assembly. If you weren't able to make it, please find the recording here.
Celebration Assembly Awards 2024
Well done to those students who received awards at our Celebration Assembly! Please find award winners in the below video.
Our assembly included an inaugral award for 2024, the Transition to High School Award sponsored by the Swansea/Bicheno Bendigo Community Bank. This award is designed to assist students with their transition to high school. The recipient was selected from their written submission to the community bank board, which included information about what the student enjoyed most about their time at Swansea Primary, what activities they have participated in within the community and what they are looking forward to in high school. Thank you to the Community Bank for sponsoring this award.
A big congratulations to our Grade 6 Leaver's! We hope you enjoy the below slideshows of photos from their time at primary school. We wish everyone all the best for their future!
A big thank you to everyone who donated to the Smith Family's Giving Tree! As of today, we have raised $917! This includes $89 from our Silent Disco fundraiser. Well done Swansea Primary! If you would like to add a donation, the link is below.
