I liked moving the cows and the tractor ride. It was bumpy.

At Hagley I learnt how to make butter.  I found out it is made from cream. I also learnt that the soil has to be a specific temperature because I thought that you could plant plants at any temperature.  I thought it was very interesting.

The grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 went to Hagley.  I learnt how to do calf weighing. I thought Hagley was interesting because we don’t get to go out on a farm on a normal school day.

Something that was interesting to me was weighing the cows.  This was interesting to me because the weight was very different between each cow.

I thought the tractor ride was fun and the hoeing.  I learnt to harvest a leaf properly. I thought the weather machine was interesting.

My trip to Hagley was very interesting because it was different to normal school.  I learnt how to make butter.  Overall, I thought the trip was very fun.

What was interesting was the soil testing and how it works. I learnt that a dairy cow could hold a lot of milk in its udder. I thought that the tractor ride was going to be faster.

What I thought was interesting was when we tested the soil for the P.H, temperature, and warmth.  I also learnt how to do it correctly. I thought that the weighing of the cows was really fun.  That was my favourite part of the whole trip.

Something that hat I found interesting was the field study because we checked the soil’s temperature, moisture, and the PH. I learnt that farmers have to weigh the cows, check the soil and lots more.  I thought the day was extremely fun.

Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 want to Hagley farm on Wednesday 19^th May.  I think the field soil study was interesting because we got to check how dry and how wet the soil was. I learnt how to make butter and how to weigh cows.  It was a great and fun day.

My trip to Hagley was great. The soil ph. and moisture testing were interesting so learning about the soil was good. I learnt that shelter belts help the plants grow.

I thought it was interesting when we watched a wooden box make butter. I learnt how to see how much moisture was in the dirt. I thought Tip the cow was very cute.

What I found interesting was that there was so many cows and we had to weigh them. I learnt that creamy milk makes butter.  I thought the calves were full grown cows!

Thank you, Mrs Bunker and Mr Tyson, for letting us stay for the day.  It was very interesting weighing the cows.  I learnt how to make butter.  I thought the tree planting was fun and finding the right leaves was good too.  Thank you again, I hope we get to come back soon.
