I cannot believe the end of Term 1, 2022 is upon us and today is the last day for students. Tomorrow, teaching staff will be a part of a statewide online moderation process where we examine different evidences of learning and assess them according to the Australian Curriculum (AC). We will be learning about the new 9 point scale for reporting students progress and explore the updates to the AC and how they impact upon the teaching and learning in each class.

I'd like to take this opporunity to thank you for your support this term. A special thanks to Steve and Linda from the Salvos for providing popcorn and a drink for our viewing of Disney's Moana today - we've started the preparations for our Term 3 SPS production of Moana. The term ended with a visit from Easter Bunny and an easter egg hunt. It was so much fun!
We are all looking forward to a well deserved Easter break and wish you and your family a safe and happy Easter. See you all in Term 2.

Today our Early Primary class celebrated 10 weeks of learning together! The collection of photographs below include today’s Class Value Reward Party, garden adventures and samples of work from this term’s whole class Respect Inquiry. Thank you to Beth for making the pinata and Mrs. Sparshott for the photographs. Happy holidays everyone!

The middle primary class have been learning to write recounts. Our fantastic excursion to Hagley Farm School supported our learning in HASS with hands-on experiences of a 150 year old classroom, an old museum with tools from home and the farm and feeding livestock. What a wonderful day it was!

Last Friday presented us with some fabulous weather for our excursion to the Hagley Farm School Visitor Centre. Our middle and upper primary classes had a fabulous time at Hagley. Middle primary spent time in the museum and historical section of the centre, while our upper primary class experienced education sessions on cover crops, dung beetles and egg production. The attached photos and recounts speak for themselves... what a wonderful day it was!
