The preparations for our annual School Association fundraising event - The Great Art Auction is well underway and special thanks to the Chair - Alice and Vice Mike for the additional time they’ve gone to, to plan and prepare for this event. As part of the Art Week celebrations, Swansea Primary School would like to offer adult art classes including a 'Sip and Paint' evening on Thursday 6th July. As numbers and costs need to be considered prior to the event tickets will be released soon. Keep an eye out! If you can volunteer your time to share your love of art or skills - both the students, staff and parents would be interested to hear from you.
This week we welcome Mrs Lisa Cromb to the role of 5/6 class teacher Monday- Thursday. Miss Emily Van Galen is fast approaching her much anticipated maternity leave and as a result she will be reducing her workdays effectively immediately. Mrs Wilson will be teaching the 5/6 class on Fridays. Mrs Lisa Cromb is a highly effective and experienced classroom teacher who has recently returned to live in Bicheno where she worked for many years as a teacher at Bicheno Primary and we are excited to welcome her to the SPS teaching team. In Week 9, Miss Van Galen will transition back to her previous role as HPE Teacher and take on the role of Grow Your Mind (GYM) Coordinator, our whole school, wellbeing initiative while Miss Sophie Walch takes leave to travel overseas for family business.
Have a great fortnight!

I enjoyed playing pickleball and hope we can do it more often with friends - Archie
