With the first half of the school year behind us, there has been much to reflect on and be proud of this year. Our school continues to be a place where a positive school culture is evident in the way students demonstrate the values of courage, growth, connection, responsibility, and respect in their interactions with others and in their dedication to learning.
It has been wonderful to hear about families, teachers and students celebrating growth and identifying future goals during the three-way conversations this week. Thank you to families and staff for your efforts in making these meetings meaningful and productive. As always, please keep in contact with your child's teacher through your preferred method of communication - our teachers are always receptive to your input and concerns, and you are welcome to pop in and chat or see what is happening in classrooms before or after school.
Today has been another successful fundraising day for Red Shield Appeal raising over $500.00. We want to thank all families and students for their thoughtful donations to the charities that the Student Council has chosen to support this year.
We wish Mr Lachlan Smith the very best for his trip back to Canada with his family. We know his considerate and measured approach will be appreciated by his next students, as indeed the grade 5/6 students have at Swansea Primary. We acknowledge the feelings of loss our students are experiencing from his departure, but we bid Mr Smith farewell with good wishes and a promise from him that he will keep in touch!
There is much to look forward to next term, Book Week, Science Week and The Wizard of Oz to mention a few! Term three commences on Monday 22nd of July.
Whether staying warm and well at home or venturing further afield, I hope all students have a restful and enjoyable holiday.
