Can you believe the generosity of our community? The response to our Silent Auction fundraiser to raise money for our community bike and scooter track has by far, exceeded all of our expectations and we thank you all! From sharing and liking our social media posts, to getting involved and of course the very much needed donations and they keep rolling in! Keep an eye out for our extra special addition tonight and keep bidding. The approximate costs for the whole project is around $58,000 but we are well on the way to reaching our goal and hope to hear news from our FRRR grant application before the end of August.
Next week the girls will be trialling a fitting range for the new addition to our school uniform that was passed through the School Association meeting on Monday night. Three items will be added to the uniform list and include:
- a school bag with logo ($65.00),
- school home folder (the School Association have committed to purchasing every student with one which will be sent home at the end of the year with the book packs booklist – any replacements will be $18.00) and,
- full length school leggings for the girls with a logo (available midway through Term 4 at a cost of $52.00 a pair).
Next week, all girls will be fitted to determine approximate numbers of each size required for purchase. Please note, the girls are not trying to buy or even being encouraged to purchase the leggings, they are simply helping us with our audit and projection of sizes as they move through the school. There is a minimum purchase of 50 units. If you would like your daughter’s size, we will be happily to provide this to you for pre-ordering, should you wish to purchase them.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school.
Have a lovely weekend.

Numeracy Skills in Kinder/Prep
Every day in the Kinder/Prep class we become more aware of the numeracy skills we use to solve problems. These skills are like a toolbox that we can draw from when ever we need. When we practise using these skills they continue to grow.
Here are some examples of the mathematical based learning experiences we have enjoyed this week!
Georgina
“I’m sorting the shapes by colours.”
Flora
“I’m putting the numbers in the right order.”
Ella
“I’m cutting up 20 biscuits to share out.”
Melody
Melody is making ‘12’ using one ten and two ones.
Riley
“I’m making a giant Swan/Oyster pattern!”
Lincoln
“I made a snake using triangles.”
Felix
Felix investigating the question ‘can numbers be halved...and how can we show this?’
Baily
Baily practising his counting skills!
Zeb
Zeb’s hands are green because he has just finished measuring various ingredients to make the class a new batch of playdough!
Emmett
Emmett brought some coins to class. This sparked a morning investigation into different types of Australian coins, their names/values and what makes them unique!
Poppie
Poppie’s playdough forest!
The Lollipop Song
12 lollipops in the candy shop,
Round and fat with sprinkles on top.
Along came a boy with a penny one day,
Bought a lollipop and took it away!’
